Job Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President for Technology and Service, the Customer Service Representative is a key member of our team structure, ensuring client data is accurate and reliable. Working alongside an Account Manager and Account Executive, the Customer Service Representative plays an important role by delivering exceptional customer service to protect working families and helping UIG grow and develop. The Customer Service Representative’s day-to-day activities include internal interactions with UIG colleagues, external interactions with clients and underwriters, work within the management operating system, and ongoing education. Education is centered around increasing insurance knowledge and business acumen. Opportunity exists for a Customer Service Representative to move into an Account Manager position in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining customer confidence and satisfaction through email and phone interactions, as well as preparing documents for customer and underwriter review.
- Verifying client risks and exposures are correctly matched to policy and initiating any required changes.
- Keeping the team on track by assisting with applications and setting up renewal and pre-renewal files.
- Solving problems by working with clients and companies to resolve issues, acting as a liaison when necessary and referring unresolved customer grievances or complex customer interactions to senior team members.
- Being a steward of customer data through input and maintenance of client information such as recording customer interactions and transactions and detailing inquiries, complaints and comments.
- Participate in UIG growth and development by attending agency meetings and following agency guidelines with a continual focus on quality and accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, supporting budget and close processes, and ensuring compliance with polices and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, and internal reporting. The Staff Accountant will work across multiple entities and contribute to both financial accuracy and operational efficiency within the accounting function.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and record accurate general ledger transactions and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
- Reconcile bank statements and key balance sheet accounts
- Assist COO in preparing internal financial statements and management reports
- Assist in the preparation of board materials
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Assist in cash flow monitoring
- Assist in the preparation and review of employee expense reports
- Assist with vendor management processes and maintain vendor records
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and regulatory requirements
- Assist in managing and renewing required licensing requirements
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
